The Fargo Park District is seeking one individual to assist the Events Department in the planning, facilitation, and supervision of events in our community. Events may range from smaller, community events drawing a few hundred people to large-scale events drawing in thousands of people.
This position will begin in February and will end at the end of April, with the potential to stay throughout the summer. The responsibilities and hours will range from week to week, averaging about 20 hours per week. Depending on the event schedule, a specific week's hours may be as few as 10 or as many as 40.
Candidates seeking a degree in the field of Tourism and Hospitality or a similar field are preferred.

Responsibilities Include
- Facilitating community events independently; supervising staff members, preparing required materials, etc.
- Completing projects as directed by the Event Supervisors to prepare for large-scale events.
- Working in partnership with other departments to ensure all parties involved in an event are working towards the same goal.
Required Experience:
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Ability to actively participate as a team member on projects
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines
