About the Opportunity

ASC is seeking several experienced Project Controls Managers across multiple programs to manage & oversee the implementation, administration, and compliance of our corporate Earned Value Management System (EVMS), manage Project Controls teams, ensure a consistent & timely reporting approach and champion governance through each of the Programs. These pivotal roles ensure both internal and external EVM reporting aligns with ASC’s policies & process and Defence requirements. The Project Controls Manager is also responsible for the training and support of Project Controls team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, deploy, support, and mentor the Project Controls staff for work areas within each of the Programs.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC’s policies and process and any other relevant governance processes.
  • Facilitate, train, and assist team members in using the corporate EVMS tool for reporting, analysis, and maintenance of the baseline.
  • Manage the preparation, review & submission of periodic reporting as required.
  • Engage with Project Managers and Control Account Managers to ensure adherence to processes and provide adequate support.
  • Address additional reporting as required and continuously improve Project Controls processes.

About You

  • Qualifications in Project Management (such as AIPM/PMI), Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience in a Project Management organisation.
  • 10+ years of experience within Project Controls, Earned Value Management, Cost Engineering, Cost Control, Cost Estimating, Planning & Scheduling, or Project Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and execute industry-standard Earned Value Management.
  • High-level of attention to detail and ability to train & mentor team members.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience.
  • Customer-focused with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in leading small teams and training and mentoring staff in the use of an EVM tool.
  • Advanced skills in COBRA, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Australian Defence Standard: DEF(AUST) 5664, will be desirable.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
