Position Overview
Abacus Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant to join our growing SAP Practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of full lifecycle SAP SD implementations, deep functional expertise across Order-to-Cash processes, and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA. This role requires a proactive professional who can engage directly with clients, lead requirement-gathering workshops, and deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.

Position Overview
Abacus Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant to join our growing SAP Practice. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of full lifecycle SAP SD implementations, deep functional expertise across Order-to-Cash processes, and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA. This role requires a proactive professional who can engage directly with clients, lead requirement-gathering workshops, and deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in full lifecycle SAP SD implementations, from blueprint through go-live and post-go-live support.
- Analyze and map Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes, translating requirements into SAP SD configuration and solutions.
- Configure advanced SD components including pricing, output determination, credit management, returns, free goods, listings/exclusions, intercompany sales, and Stock Transfer Orders (STO).
- Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and fit-gap analysis sessions with key business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with MM, FI, and TM modules.
- Support UAT planning and execution, issue resolution, cutover activities, and go-live readiness.
- Design and manage IDoc/interface configurations for integration with external systems.
- Provide functional expertise on SAP S/4HANA Private and Public Cloud deployments.
- Guide end-users and client teams on Fiori Apps for SD processes and the Business Partner (BP) concept.
- Prepare and maintain functional specification documents, configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
- Minimum 2–3 full lifecycle SAP SD implementations (end-to-end) as a functional consultant.
- Strong expertise in Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and SAP SD module configuration.
- Advanced configuration experience in pricing procedures, output determination, and credit management.
- Hands-on experience with Returns, Free Goods, Listings/Exclusions, Intercompany Sales, and STO processes.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud and/or Public Cloud).
- Knowledge of Fiori Apps relevant to SAP SD processes.
- Sound understanding of the Business Partner (BP) concept in S/4HANA.
- Familiarity with Advanced ATP (Available-to-Promise) functionality.
- Strong integration knowledge across MM, FI, and TM modules.
- Experience with IDoc and interface management for SD integration with external systems.
- Demonstrated experience in requirement gathering, workshop facilitation, and fit-gap analysis.
- Hands-on involvement in UAT support, go-live activities, and post-go-live hyper care.
- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sales or equivalent certification.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology for project delivery.
- Exposure to SAP TM (Transportation Management) integration scenarios.
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
