Senior Manager, FP&A

Brief Description

The mission of the FP&A leader is to own and build Aegis’ FP&A capability for a fast-growing, project-driven organization by delivering accurate forecasting, disciplined planning, cash flow visibility, and actionable insights that improve decision-making and performance across the business. This role will support the CFO and partner tightly with the Corporate Controller and Project Controller to align actual results, project performance, and cash outcomes. Success in this role directly impacts Aegis’ ability to scale profitably, manage liquidity, and execute strategic initiatives with financial clarity and discipline.

What You'll Do

• FP&A ownership in a project-driven business: Own annual budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly rolling forecasts; build the FP&A function and its operating cadence.
• Advanced Excel modeling & scenario analysis: Build dynamic models incorporating revenue drivers, cost structures, capacity/staffing, working capital; run sensitivities and scenarios for decisions.
• Cash flow forecasting & working-capital insight: Develop strong visibility into cash drivers (billing, collections, project timing, labor, working capital) and identify liquidity risks/opportunities.
• Executive storytelling & decision support: Translate complex data into clear insights for executives; lead the monthly executive financial presentation integrating financial + operational drivers.
• Cross-functional business partnership: Partner with operations/department leaders on margin, resource allocation, OPEX accountability; align with Corporate + Project Controllers
• Commercial finance support: Support bids/pricing/margin evaluation/cash impact; monitor sales KPIs (pipeline health, conversion) and own commission structure/tracking/payout process.
• Build & develop team over time: Role begins IC; lays groundwork for scalable FP&A function, hiring/mentoring as the org scales

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong and progressive FP&A experience, preferably in startup or fast-growing environments
• Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel; demonstrated ability to build complex, multi-scenario models from scratch.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statement analysis, and working capital management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives.
• Must be able to operate effectively at multiple levels of detail, from granular analysis to executive-level summaries and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders through strong analytical insight, clear communication, and collaborative leadership, relying on credibility rather than formal authority.
• Bring a “run to the fire” approach to the role—leaning into challenges, supporting the team when it matters most, and doing whatever it takes to move the business forward.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in a high-growth environment
• Experience in manufacturing or project-based business preferred
• Understanding of Percentage of Completion Accounting (ASC 606)
• Experience in the Material Handling / MHI industry is a significant plus
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) and FP&A planning platforms
