As a Solutions Architect (SA) at Impetus, you will be at the forefront of helping Fortune 500 enterprises navigate complex data and AI transformations — not just as a technologist, but as a trusted advisor and deal-shaper. This is one of the most impactful and visible roles at Impetus, sitting at the intersection of business strategy and cutting-edge technology.

In the rapidly changing technology landscape where there are so many technologies and platforms to choose from, SA’s play a very critical role in helping our customers make the right technological choices and decisions ensuring both short- and long-term success.

At Impetus, SA’s are at the cross function of business and engineering, they communicate with engineers, managers, sales and C- level executives both from Impetus and customer side and ensure everyone has the same understanding of the business goals and how the proposed solution will help achieve them.

Title: Solutions Architect – Pre-Sales

Experience: 10–15 years overall with 5+ years in pre-sales or enterprise architecture

Must have domain knowledge in at least one of the following verticals –

• BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance)
• Healthcare

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and challenges, translating them into actionable solutions
• Lead onsite and virtual workshops with customers to design & develop prototypes/solutions in collaboration with engineering teams
• Develop overall solutions including architecture, high-level design, statements of work, service design and bills of materials.
• Present Impetus products and services capabilities to prospects & partners and be their trusted technical solution advisor.
• Develop use case demonstrations and proofs of concept in collaboration with sales, customers and Impetus implementation teams
• Lead technical responses to RFI/RFP
• Create thought leadership through presenting at conferences, summits and events, writing, user group presentations and community involvement.
• Stay abreast of technology developments relevant to Impetus and its competitors, latest advancements in GenAI research and industry trends, contributing to the company's GenAI strategy.

• Provide knowledge transfer to the delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from presales to delivery
• Drive revenue through active participation in pipeline development, deal pursuit, and win strategies alongside the sales team
• Build and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as a long-term trusted advisor beyond individual deal cycles
• Collaborate with Impetus product and engineering teams to channel customer feedback and market insights into the product roadmap

Primary Skills:

Technical Skills

• Experience in architecture & design and consulting services, focused on enterprise solutions,
• data analytics platform, lake houses, data engineering, data processing, data warehousing, ETL, Hadoop & Big Data
• Experience in defining and designing data governance, data management and data security solutions for an enterprise across business verticals
• Experience on at least one of the 3 major cloud platforms- AWS, Azure, GCP
• Possess knowledge of cloud-based AI/ML services like AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, Google AI Platform, Databricks GenAI/BI, Snowflake GenAI and their relevant services for building and deploying GenAI/Agentic workloads
• Familiarity with Agentic AI architectures, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns, and vector databases, MCP’s, Knowledge of MLOps / LLMOps practices
• Experience with BI and visualization platforms (like Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and the ability to architect end-to-end analytics solutions from data platform to insight layer
• Familiarity with real-time and streaming data and event-driven architecture patterns, data integration and ELT/ETL tooling
• Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks relevant to target verticals (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) and their implications for data architecture decisions

Pre-Sales & Business Skills

• Knowledge of market insight, technology trends and competitor intelligence
• Experience in proposal management (RFP/RFI/RFQ etc.)
• Comfort with solution sizing, effort estimation, and the commercial aspects of pre-sales — including building bills of materials that are both technically sound and commercially competitive
• Ability to actively position Impetus against competitors with a clear, confident point of view on differentiation

Personal Attributes:

You are a natural storyteller who can turn a complex architecture diagram into a compelling business case for a CXO, and a detailed technical blueprint for an engineering lead.

Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organization, documentation, and presentation skills (to executive level staff and to large groups).

Able to make decisions on technical and design tradeoffs to best meet customers’ needs.

Genuinely curious about where technology is heading — you experiment with new tools independently and form your own informed point of view.

Must be a self-starter, results oriented and flexible to adapt to ambiguities and changes. Willingness to travel up to 10–20% to customer sites and events across the Americas and Europe.
