This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll work closely with prospects, customers, and internal teams to architect solutions, support API integrations, and ensure a smooth technical onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact during pre-sales conversations and onboarding.
- Collaborate with customers to design and implement scalable integration solutions using Apideck’s APIs.
- Assist the Sales and Customer Success teams by translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Lead technical discovery calls and provide product demos tailored to engineering and product audiences.
- Troubleshoot complex API-related issues and guide customers through resolution.
- Contribute to improving developer documentation, guides, and other technical resources.
- Serve as the feedback loop between customers and the Product/Engineering teams to help shape product roadmap and enhancements.
- Continuously stay up to date with our API products and integration landscape.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical solutions, sales engineering, or implementation engineering role in a SaaS or API-first environment.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, authentication methods (OAuth, API keys), and JSON.
- Comfortable working in developer environments (Postman, Swagger, cURL, terminal).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
- Customer-first mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Experience working with tools like Slack, CRM platforms, Customer Suppport and issue tracking systems.
- Familiarity with Node.js or other scripting languages, and hands-on experience with API integrations.
