Job Description
This part-time position requires a commitment to customer service, a positive attitude, team spirit, and good organizational and multi-tasking skills. Congeniality and a can-do attitude are imperative.
Additionally, this position must learn to use Shopify POS software, Microsoft office, and other technology used by the Museum. Visitor Services Assistant should become familiar with Museum members and Patrons and promote membership to visitors.

The Visitor Services Assistant position is primarily a customer service and front desk support position Duties include but are not limited to:

Duties
The Visitor Services Assistant position is primarily a customer service and front desk support position Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing opening and/or closing procedures
- Greeting visitors and providing information
- Monitoring Security cameras and alerting staff when needed
- Taking cash and credit card payments from visitors to the museum
- Taking cash and credit card payments from the Museum Store
- Answering and disseminating phone calls and disseminating messages
- Receiving mail and other shipments and assuring the correct party receives them.
- Assuring repair people sign the register and proper personnel are notified
- Maintaining awareness of Emergency procedures
- Assisting with Facility rentals as needed
- Assisting with fundraisers and other programming that requires a team effort
- Alerting management of important visitors
