We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to support the enhancement and maintenance of enterprise business applications in a fast-paced production environment. This role will focus on developing and updating Java-based applications, REST APIs, business logic, user interfaces, and reporting capabilities while supporting defect resolution and ongoing system improvements. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, SQL, and enterprise application support, along with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. This is a hybrid opportunity for candidates local to the Austin, Texas area.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java applications
- Update business logic, user interface components, and underlying data models
- Build and support RESTful APIs using Java and Spring framework
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for relational databases
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve defects
- Execute unit testing, peer code reviews, and technical documentation
- Support application deployments, maintenance activities, and production support across multiple environments
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and testing best practices
- Enhance reporting capabilities and support data/reporting integrations
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver application improvements
- Participate in on-call or after-hours support as needed
Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on Java development experience using object-oriented programming principles
8+ years of enterprise application development experience with J2EE
8+ years of experience building RESTful APIs using Spring framework
8+ years of SQL development experience with relational databases
Strong experience with Spring transaction management, security, and aspect-oriented programming
Experience with JUnit and unit testing best practices
Proven experience troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving production application issues
Experience supporting enterprise applications across development, test, and production environments
Strong understanding of secure coding standards and software development best practices
Experience with Angular, Crystal Reports, or Power BI is a plus
Must currently reside in Texas and be local to the Austin area for hybrid onsite requirements
