Job Description

Job Summary

Location: Boston, MA

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Sr Director of FP&A to lead and scale our financial planning and analysis function in a SaaS environment. This role will report to the CFO and will partner closely with executive leadership to drive enterprise-wide financial strategy, long-range planning, and operational performance. The Sr Director will oversee forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling processes, with deep ownership of SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, churn, CAC, LTV) and actionable insights to support growth, profitability, and capital allocation decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes, incorporating SaaS drivers such as ARR growth, bookings, pipeline conversion, churn, and expansion.
  • Own and evolve SaaS KPI framework (ARR, MRR, NRR/GRR, CAC, LTV, payback period, rule of 40) and ensure consistent definitions and reporting across the organization.
  • Develop and oversee complex financial models, including cohort analysis, unit economics, sales capacity models, and scenario planning.
  • Provide actionable insights on financial and operational performance, including variance analysis, funnel performance, and customer lifecycle trends.
  • Partner with GTM leaders (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) on pipeline, bookings, quota capacity, pricing, and retention strategies.
  • Own executive-level and board reporting, including SaaS dashboards, KPI narratives, and performance drivers.
  • Drive improvements in financial systems and data infrastructure to support scalable SaaS reporting (e.g., ARR waterfalls, cohort tracking).
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Support M&A activities with focus on SaaS metrics, revenue quality, and integration planning.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A/corporate finance, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • 5+ years working with Strong expertise in SaaS financial metrics, revenue models, and subscription economics.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including cohort modeling and unit economics.
  • Deep understanding of data models and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-growth, PE-backed SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
  • Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, and planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive).
  • Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and SaaS billing systems.
  • Experience with Corporate Performance Management solutions (e.g., Adaptive) preferred.

At Quickbase, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to equitable pay practices. The compensation range for this role is $178,000-280,000 per year. The exact compensation offered will be based on experience, skills, and alignment with internal equity. Beyond salary, employees receive bonus/commission eligibility and access to a full benefits package including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, etc.
