Data Scientist

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst to support complex business and mission-driven initiatives through advanced data analysis, visualization, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience working with diverse data sources, and the ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role requires hands-on experience with Power BI, Python, SQL, and data visualization techniques, along with the ability to independently solve complex problems and develop innovative data solutions.

What will you do?

• Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Analyze, transform, manipulate, and integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources using Python, SQL, and other analytical tools.
• Design and develop lightweight web applications when traditional dashboards are not the most effective solution for presenting or interacting with data.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to support business, operational, and intelligence-related decision-making.
• Validate, verify, and assess data quality to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Create visualization prototypes, wireframes, and mockups to communicate analytical findings and proposed solutions.
• Interpret and work with complex data models, databases, and varied data structures.
• Translate customer and stakeholder requirements into technical specifications, analytical products, and system solutions.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and briefings tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Document analytical methodologies, work processes, and technical procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
• Operate as a self-starter capable of breaking down ambiguous problems into actionable plans and deliverables.
• Participate in day-to-day technical execution activities and project support efforts.
  
  

Do you have what it takes?

Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment

• Demonstrated experience using Power BI for data visualization, dashboard development, and reporting.
• Recent hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience building lightweight web applications to support data analysis and visualization requirements.
• Experience performing business analytics, statistical analysis, data validation and verification, and/or data visualization.
• Experience applying qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to solve business or intelligence-related problems.
• Experience transforming, manipulating, and combining data using programming languages such as Python or data preparation tools.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences through presentations and written reports.
• Experience creating visualization mockups, prototypes, process documentation, and product demonstrations.
• Experience working with diverse data sources, data models, and database structures.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating customer needs into technical solutions.
