OSUP is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong background in financial management, leadership, and process improvement. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting accurate and efficient financial operations while contributing to the continued growth and success of the organization.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Accounting Manager plays a key role in supporting the Senior Accounting Manager by overseeing daily accounting operations, guiding a high-performing team, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting work with team leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Support management of the accounting team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
  • Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP standards
  • Analyze financial statements and identify trends, variances, and opportunities
  • Lead account reconciliations for balance sheet and financial reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Develop and monitor key performance and quality metrics
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and analytics teams to optimize reporting and processes
  • Contribute to team development through coaching, training, and engagement initiatives

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong analytical responsibilities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing or mentoring team members
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and forecasting
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in healthcare or corporate accounting
  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies
