Job Summary

As the Network Engineering Intern you will be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy from the moment you arrive through the course of this experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with our customers, network engineering team and the MCNC NOC to develop a plan and implement a redesign and maintenance schedule of the rack layout at our remote sites.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Skilled in framing a project plan, developing, testing and documenting.
  • Must be able to work effectively individually as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Flexibility to work non-typical hours.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to drive a company vehicle on company business. Pre-employment and annual MVR checks will be required during your employment with the company for this position in order to be approved to drive a company-owned vehicle.
  • Background and sex offender checks will be performed for pre-employment and annually during your employment with the company.
  • This role will be required to adhere to the MCNC Substance Abuse policy, which may include drug/alcohol screening at hire and periodically or randomly during employment.

Preferred Qualifications/Specialties

  • Cisco command line experience a plus.

Pay: $23-$25 per hour
