Job Description

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating activities, PV&V plans, work requests, program management summaries and scheduling PV&V activities.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with rotating components, electric machine design, test, or implementation.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition equipment and instrumentation such as accelerometers, thermistors, current transducers and vector network analyzers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • PV&V activity scheduling and prioritization experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (local travel).
  • Metatarsals required day 1.
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related field of study.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of related electric drive components (inverters, connectors, energy storage, etc.).
  • Knowledge of AI and its uses related to PV&V.
  • Knowledge in analytical details of electric machine types and design (continuous and peak load evaluation, electromagnetics, bearings, insulating materials, cooling and manufacturability).
  • Experience working across groups to share knowledge and achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge of accelerated test methods.
  • Ability to work without supervision and provide technical guidance on testing, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Experience managing projects within cost, time, and quality parameters with limited supervision.
  • Experience working in Windchill and Creo.

Job Duties

  • Contribute to the Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) of electric machines, including creating PV&V plans and activities in the client’s internal PV&V application.
  • Track activities, create work requests, and report Activity Completion Rating (ACR) to leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define, execute, and deliver PV&V plans using lab tests, field tests, and electric machine teardowns.
  • Interpret and implement standards, specifications, and regulations related to electric machines.
  • Deliver small- to medium-scale projects within an established program management plan.
  • Develop capabilities through training, coaching, and professional accreditation.
  • Maintain understanding of relevant technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain complex technical and user documentation and ensure proper file backup.

Typical Day

  • Coordinate and schedule PV&V activities for electric machines.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to review test plans and results.
  • Support lab and field testing efforts and review collected data.
  • Update PV&V tracking systems and prepare status reports for leadership.
  • Document findings and contribute to continuous improvement discussions.
