The Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist is responsible and accountable for the timely and accurate release of patient health information, proper documentation and tracking of requests for information and providing personalized customer service to all requestors.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical record department or confidential file room
  • Experience dealing with confidential information
  • CRT/PC knowledge/10 key
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Release of Information for medical records
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a medical record department's ROI
  • Knowledge of the Kelsey-Seybold system
  • 30 wpm typing

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
