Job Purpose

The Tax Senior will be responsible for assisting the preparation, review and consolidation of income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across finance and accounting teams.

Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation, review, analysis and consolidation of global tax provisions for quarterly and annual financials.
  • Prepare worldwide tax account reconciliations and roll forward analysis.
  • Prepares financial statement disclosures and footnotes for interim and annual filings.
  • Assist in Compliance with SOX control requirements, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Research and document complex tax and accounting issues.
  • Prepare modeling for tax planning strategies.

You Are Meant For This Job If

  • Familiarity of ASC 740 with background in International and/or U.S. tax issues.
  • Proficiency with tax software (Corptax is a plus) and Financial Reporting Systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, to work independently, effectively collaborate, and to efficiently manage corporate staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to make effective presentations.

Role Specific Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
  • Years of Experience: 3-5 years of corporate tax accounting experience, either in-house with U.S. multinational corporations, or with multinational accounting firms.
  • Familiarity of ASC 740 with background in International and/or U.S. taxes.
  • Language: English and proficiency in a second language is preferred but not required.
  • Location: Gremp Houston
