Job Summary Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Lab Scientist II to join our team at the NEW Baptist ED Silverleaf in Jacksonville, Florida! This is a part time day shift opportunity working Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities
This Medical Lab Scientist II will be supervised by the Director and Section Supervisors, however, they can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision. This candidate must hold a valid Medical Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida and have at least two years of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist. Responsibilities

As a Medical Lab Scientist II, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections
- Maintaining records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals
- Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
- Instructing new employees, MT, and MLT students.
