Position Summary
The Service & Repair Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of auto-teeing golf ball engines that incorporate both mechanical and electrical components. This role ensures equipment operates safely, reliably, and at peak performance for customers, while delivering a high standard of service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues within auto-teeing golf ball systems.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Test systems after repair or installation to confirm proper operation and compliance with specifications.
- Identify root causes of failures and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
- Document service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations in service reports.
- Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, and customer support teams to resolve complex issues.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and service vehicles in a safe and professional condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school or vocational training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical service or repair.
- Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, sensors, motors, and power supplies.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
- Experience with automated machinery or electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs or motor controllers.
- 5S organizational knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
