Position Overview

As a Presell Representative, you will play a hands-on role in driving Community Coffee’s brand presence in the market. Your focus will be on managing current customer accounts, growing sales through relationship-building, and securing new business opportunities in your territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers by providing exceptional service and offering product recommendations that align with their needs.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns related to products, service, or equipment in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate sales and delivery records using a handheld device and collect payments as needed.
  • Monitor product inventory at customer locations and restock based on agreed PAR levels to ensure proper selection and availability.
  • Track account activity, including new, existing, and dormant accounts, and take steps to re-engage where appropriate.
  • Communicate important customer information and service instructions clearly with Presell Service Representatives through written and verbal channels.
  • Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on brewing equipment located at customer sites, using standard tools and procedures.
  • Clean and maintain your vehicle regularly, including checking fluids, oil, and tire pressure, in line with company standards.
  • Retrieve equipment and merchandise from customer sites that no longer carry Community Coffee products.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows and special events, promoting products and services with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Collect and document returns such as empty containers or outdated products according to policy.
  • Take on other duties as assigned to support team and company goals.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 year of related sales or customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • CDL is required for vehicles 26,000 lbs. or more.
  • DOT medical certification required.
  • Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will service/sell to approximately 20-30 customers per day and is required to do the following:

  • You will interact with 20–30 customers daily, requiring frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and vehicle entry/exit.
  • Regular lifting of up to 35 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. is required.
  • You may need to push/pull up to 100 lbs. using a rolling pallet jack or similar tools.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • You will work in various environments—from customer-facing retail and office spaces to warehouses and outdoor conditions. Noise levels may vary from quiet to moderately loud.
