Major Responsibilities
- Assists in processing and managing payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Responds to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and taxation.
- Maintains employee records, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
- Support the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in preparing payroll reports (e.g. month/year end account reconciliations) and documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure employee data is accurate, up to date, and receive necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations in a multijurisdictional arena.
- Stay up to date on changes with payroll laws and regulations.
- Functions effectively in a Matrix Management environment.
- Completes any duties and special assignments as requested.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting, or related field required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or related preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional Certification preferred
- General knowledge and experience with payroll systems
- ADP Workforce Now Required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to pay close attention to details
- May include standing, sitting, and/or walking for extended periods
- May include performing repetitive tasks
- May include working on a special schedule (i.e. evenings and weekends)
- May include working with challenging patients and clients
- May include lifting up to 25 pounds
