The Platinum Hotel seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the overall operation of the Engineering department. This includes maintenance of all buildings, physical plant, interior spaces, contents and grounds to the highest degree of safety and appearance in order to maximize lifetime of all. What you will be doing\:

  • Organize and administrate the Engineering Department
  • Set up and administer the preventative maintenance of all areas
  • Ensure effective work control and productivity
  • Ensure proper staff levels
  • Prepare employee evaluations
  • Organize and ensure department Budget controls
  • HOA budget responsibilities
  • Capital improvement budget creation & oversight
  • Utility budget/conservation programs
  • Ensure property-wide safety and be proactive on all safety items
  • Provide input and manage levels of inventory and all purchases for parts, tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Ensure all safety related matters are corrected in a timely manor
  • Ensure compliance with all local and federal health, safety, building codes and maintain accurate record keeping of activities

What We Are Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years prior facilities management.
  • CPO

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical (high and low voltage,) pool equipment.
  • Working knowledge of construction, ability to read blueprints, strong budgetary skills, and excellent planning skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor Engineering team.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively deal with all business contacts and employee-related manners.
  • Must and have a professional appearance and demeanor.
