Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Health Education Associate I responsibilities include conducting outreach activities, identifying community resources, delivering individual and or group health education services, distributing outreach materials, directly contacting targeted community members. Responsible for data collection, as needed, for program evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ years of related experience. Local travel to events required and must be able to lift and transport items to community events. General knowledge of family systems, health and safety, and parent education are a must. Live scan required as applicable per county contract. Obtain American Heart Association BLS certification within the first 2 months of employment as applicable per county contract.
Education/Licensure/Certification: College education preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
