Your Role

The Business Management team in the Encino office is hiring the next supervisor to join our dynamic group of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate has a keen interest in the entertainment industry and is eager to develop their accounting acumen. The selected candidate is a confident and professional communicator, with exceptional time management and organizational skills. You are interpersonal and believe in developing and maintaining a professional relationship with the clients; all while performing the following bookkeeping duties:

What Will You Do

  • Supervise, mentor, and coach the accounting staff.
  • Experience with handling robust books and preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Book and process client payroll on a recurring basis.
  • Maintaining accurate General Ledger/Trial Balances.
  • Onboard new clients, set up new vendors and General Ledger codes in the accounting system (AgilLink).
  • Record opening Trial Balance as journal entries, prepare, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Record purchase or refinance of client's automobiles/residence.
  • Maintain cash flow and reporting requests for clients.
  • Provide backup coverage for other Account Executives as needed.
  • Process Accounts Payable and Cash Receipts when the Account Executive is out.
  • Coordinate and complete client loan applications and collaborate with Senior Accountant for final review.
  • Provide accurate asset schedules for insurance.
  • Work closely with Tax department to ensure clean and accurate books.
  • Ensure that tax deadlines (1099s, estimated payments) are met timely.
  • Create commission reconciliation schedules for non-touring clients.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What Do You Need To Succeed

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Self-motivated with excellent organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well with a team and pitch in when needed

Education And Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • 4 plus years of experience in accounting, business management, and/or working with high-net-worth individuals
  • 1 plus years of experience working in AgilLink, Datafaction, and/or QuickBooks preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Physical Demands And Work Environment

  • Standing, walking, crouching, and regular lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Frequent use of hands and reaching with hands and arms
  • Regularly talking, hearing, seeing, and sitting
  • Moderate to loud noise level

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $135,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
