Position Summary

Gwinnett College is seeking a First Impressions Representative who will serve as the welcoming face and voice of the College. This position is responsible for providing a high degree of quality communication between students, prospective students, and staff, ensuring that every interaction reflects the professionalism and culture of Gwinnett College.

As the first point of contact, the First Impressions Representative ensures the front desk operates smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the College’s mission and values. This individual will support office associates with confidence, organization, and professionalism while maintaining a student-centered approach in handling inquiries and requests.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a company ambassador, providing a warm and professional welcome to all visitors, callers, and students.

Exhibit call handling expertise, including managing multi-line phone systems, routing calls appropriately, and documenting messages accurately.

Triage and resolve student inquiries efficiently and courteously, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

Maintain a professional image in demeanor, appearance, and communication.

Demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through in all assigned duties.

Support internal departments through dependable administrative and customer service assistance.

Track and report key metrics, including call transfers, inquiry processing time, and student population trends.

Maintain accurate records, uphold confidentiality, and ensure the front office is always organized and welcoming.

Contribute to positive outcomes through strong attendance, accuracy, and meeting of deadlines.

Uphold and represent the culture and values of Gwinnett College in all interactions.

Qualifications

Prior front desk, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency with common office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Professional demeanor with a genuine commitment to student success.
