We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teacher at Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible to help students develop skills and knowledge consistent with the district’s curriculum and goals that will contribute to the student’s development. Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, or appropriate discipline.
  • Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of various teaching methods. Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
  • Licensure: Certification through the State of Washington
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion CPR certification and Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression within 90 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours.

Compensation

This is a full-time role; the expected compensation range is $24.00 - $35.00 hourly. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Teacher.

Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital, located in Marysville, WA is a 145-bed, standalone psychiatric facility, providing short-term crisis stabilization for adults and teens (13 years of age and older) for Inpatient. SPBH also offers Intensive Outpatient Programs, in person and virtual.

Treatment services include assessment and evaluation, individualized treatment planning, crisis intervention, consultation and discharge planning. Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital has a clear goal; to help people live healthier lives and restore balance. We treat patients who experience thoughts of suicide, grief, depression, anxiety, psychosis, and mood disorders, and help them maneuver through their crisis. It is our goal to help restore a positive emotional state and health by teaching coping skills, communication and self-awareness.
