American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of hospital MRI experience and GE equipment proficiency for a radiology department serving a diverse inpatient and outpatient patient population.
Details- Hospital-based Radiology MRI department
- Daily caseload of 35–40 cases
- Patient population includes all ages except pediatrics, both inpatient and outpatient
- Collaborative team environment working alongside another MRI technologist
- Equipment includes GE 1.5T Signa Artist, GE 3T Premier, and PACS
- Epic EHR used (experience preferred)
- 12-hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, blocked Friday through Sunday (36 hours/week)
- 4 call days per month required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital setting
- ARRT (MR) certification and BLS required
- Experience with GE MRI equipment required
- PACS experience preferred
- Epic EHR experience preferred
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidate's full SSN, DOB, proof of address, 1 supervisory reference, and copy of certifications required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Perform MRI scans according to established protocols under the direction of a Radiologist or physician
- Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to minimize risk to patients, staff, and others
- Select appropriate MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters per protocol
- Perform IV injections and administer magnetic contrast agents specific to each procedure
- Provide direct patient care and instructions before, during, and after procedures
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues to radiology maintenance or a supervisor
- Contribute to the training and education of new staff and MRI students
- Two-stage interview process: initial ITO interview followed by a second interview with the Hiring Manager
- EKG testing is not required for this position
