A rapidly growing commercial infrastructure and renewable energy construction company is seeking a Lead Project Manager to provide strategic leadership for its project management team and oversee the successful delivery of complex construction projects.

This role operates at a senior leadership level, functioning similarly to a Construction Director or Senior Construction Manager, with responsibility for guiding project managers, driving best practices in scheduling and budgeting, and ensuring consistent project delivery across the organization.

The company’s portfolio consists primarily of commercial solar projects (75–80%) along with wireless infrastructure and commercial construction projects.

This position is ideal for a high-level construction leader who excels at project controls, forecasting, scheduling, and team leadership while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes

Manage a portfolio of construction projects from start through completion

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope

Establish and improve project management methodologies and best practices

Conduct regular team meetings and individual coaching sessions

Monitor project performance using KPIs, schedules, and budget tracking

Maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a primary project contact

Identify risks early and implement solutions to maintain project success

Ensure project documentation, reporting, and change order processes are executed properly

Collaborate with field leadership to align project schedules, staffing, and subcontractor requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

10+ years of construction project management experience

4+ years managing Project Managers or project teams

Experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, or commercial construction

Strong expertise in construction budgeting, forecasting, WIP, revenue tracking, and cost controls

Proven ability to develop schedules, manage budgets, and drive project delivery

Experience with construction project management software such as Procore and Microsoft Office

Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to interact with executives, clients, and project teams

Working knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

Solar energy construction experience

Wireless infrastructure construction experience

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Base Salary: $140K – $160K (possible flexibility for exceptional candidates)
