About The Job

This is a temp/casual researcher position. This position will carry out molecular and biochemical assays to understand metabolism in an anaerobic bacterium. This position will be required to keep detailed records of the procedures carried out and the results, present those results at lab meeting, and. This position will also be assigned tasks in the laboratory for general maintenance and management of laboratory activities.

90% Research

Assisting graduate student with ongoing experiments

5% Communication and training

Present at lab meetings, oversee undergraduates

5% Lab maintenance and record keeping

helping graduate student with washing glassware, keeping records, and safety procedures

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED

Prior research in cultivation of anaerobic bacteria, making media, and reagents. Familiarity with aseptic technique.

Pay And Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
