Soni is hiring on behalf of a client seeking a Staff Accountant to support their accounting team. This role is highly hands-on and will focus on day-to-day accounting activities, helping ensure accurate financials and keeping core processes on track. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift.
Role: Staff Accountant
Location: Murfreesboro, TN (fully onsite)
Pay Range: $60–70k
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Support daily accounting operations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and adjustments
- Help manage accounts payable/receivable processes as needed
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with audit support and other ad hoc accounting projects
Qualifications:
- Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in Murfreesboro, TN
- 1–4 years of accounting experience
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to jump in and support where needed
Compensation: $60,000 - 70,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
