Revenue Cycle Operations Manager (RCM) – Contract

Location: Remote (Must be based in Nashville / Middle Tennessee area)

Duration: 90–120 day assignment

Soni is partnered with a client seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Operations Manager to lead key functions across accounts receivable, cash posting, and collections within a high-volume healthcare environment.

This role is responsible for driving AR performance, optimizing cash flow, and leading a team of revenue cycle professionals, while partnering cross-functionally to improve overall revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage teams across accounts receivable, cash posting, and collections
• Oversee daily operations to ensure timely follow-up on AR, accurate cash posting, and effective resolution of outstanding balances
• Develop and execute strategies to reduce aged AR and improve overall collections performance
• Analyze payor trends, identify root causes of denials or delays, and implement process improvements
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, quality, and AR aging
• Provide regular reporting on outstanding AR by region and payor
• Partner with senior leadership to escalate and resolve complex revenue cycle issues
• Hire, train, and develop team members while driving accountability and performance
• Collaborate across revenue cycle functions to improve efficiency and workflow

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of management experience in a healthcare environment
• 2+ years of leadership specifically within revenue cycle operations (AR, billing, collections)
• Strong experience managing accounts receivable and collections teams in a high-volume setting
• Deep understanding of AR aging, denials, appeals, and collections strategy
• Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and driving process improvements
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive results
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on experience in healthcare billing (professional or institutional)
• Ability to evaluate aged AR and determine rebill vs. collection strategy
• Experience with revenue cycle systems and reporting tools
• Background in behavioral health or multi-site healthcare organizations

Compensation: $38-51/ Hr

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
