Accounting / Auditing, Finance / Banking / Insurance

About The Role

The role oversees the monthly close, external financial reporting, and the technical accounting framework for a fast-growing, technology-driven business. This position is responsible for ensuring all financial processes comply with US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and SEC reporting standards.

The Accounting Manager will partner closely with finance operations, engineering, and external auditors to design scalable accounting processes and build robust, automated systems that support complex transaction flows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements.
  • Draft technical accounting memorandums and policy documents under US GAAP, focusing on areas such as ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 842 (leases), and share-based compensation.
  • Maintain, evaluate, and strengthen the internal control environment in compliance with SOX 404 requirements, designing new controls as the business scales.
  • Coordinate closely with external auditors to manage quarterly reviews, annual audits, and technical accounting inquiries, minimizing audit cycle times.
  • Collaborate with the ERP systems and data engineering teams to automate accounting workflows, implement sub-ledgers, and improve reporting efficiency in NetSuite.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial disclosures, footnotes, and supporting schedules for external SEC-aligned reporting packages.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a foundation in Big 4 public accounting followed by corporate accounting experience at a high-growth tech company.
  • Active CPA license (Certified Public Accountant) is strictly required.
  • Deep technical mastery of US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience using ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, alongside advanced Excel capabilities for complex reconciliation and modeling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
  • Bonus: Experience managing the transition from private to public company reporting standards, or familiarity with SQL and modern financial planning tools.
