Under general supervision, City Laborer workers at Lead Hazard Control Department will perform common laboring work assisting in routine maintenance and repair work, performing related work.
Duties Shall Include, But Not Limited To The Following
- Perform labor requiring physical strength in the support of maintenance functions on NYCHA properties.
- Move, lift, and carry items of various weight and sizes.
- May utilize hand or power-driven equipment in the performance of duties.
- May be required to operate motor vehicles in connection with the performance of duties.
- May oversee the daily activity of other laborers in the performance of their duties.
- NYCHA employees applying for transfer, promotional, title or level change opportunities must have served a period of one year at current location and in current title and level (if applicable).
