The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

A Research Assistant position is available in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology to in a dynamic interactive laboratory studying human and mouse immunology.

Responsibilities

• Duties include working with laboratory personnel to process human samples for immunological assays, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques and participating in cutting edge research.
• Applicant should be comfortable working with human samples and be organized and able to work independently.
• They will help optimize experimental protocols and assist with general laboratory duties including managing supply inventory, updating records for sample repositories, and helping to train new members in established protocols when needed.
• Most work will be conducted during regular business hours however due to the nature of this research some flexibility is possible/desired.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.
• Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques required.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of molecular biology or immunology from coursework or equivalent research experience.
