Come join our Actuarial Technology and Services team where you will:
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of actuarial and financial systems, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based solutions (Azure preferred).
- Collaborate with actuaries and business stakeholders to understand critical business processes and translate them into technological solutions.
- Identify gaps and areas for improvement in business operations, optimizing efficiency and customer experience through technology.
- Monitor advancements in cloud and application technologies, recommending and implementing enhancements for competitive advantage.
- Ensure timely high-quality delivery of software projects, troubleshooting challenges and proactively engaging in planning and project management.
- Provide guidance and support to junior programmers, assisting with technical problem-solving and code reviews.
- Review and enhance technology standards, processes, and best practices within the ATS group.
- Support the development of user documentation and training materials.
- Assist in the review and troubleshooting of day-to-day issues and end-user support for ATS software.
- 6+ years of software development experience in financial services, actuarial or related industries with significant Azure expertise.
- Strong skills in object-oriented programming (C++, C#, Java, Delphi).
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices in Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Actuarial experience or familiarity and actuarial exams is a plus.
