Job Description

AAG is hiring a Mid Data Analyst/Power BI Developer in the Norfolk, VA area to support our client. The development team currently embraces a hybrid work model of two days on-site at Little Creek Amphibious Base and three days remote (this is not guaranteed, but likely to continue for the foreseeable future). Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.

Role And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Perform data modeling, data transformation, and calculations
• Integrate data from multiple sources to create comprehensive reports
• Optimize Power BI data models and performance
• Provide data analysis and visualization to support decision-making processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve data and performance issues
• Maintain documentation for data models, reports, and processes
  
  

Experience

• Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Power BI development
• Proficient in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience managing data sets with multiple data types for analysis
• Experience using Microsoft Access to include creating reports, forms, and queries
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment in support of client requirements
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s (Required)
• Degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics or Computer Science (Recommended)
  
  

Licenses/Certificates

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst (Preferred)
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Preferred)
• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) (Preferred)
