Work Schedule: Evenings/Nights

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner uses tools, theories, skills and knowledge of nursing professional development (NPD) to improve the practice of staff. The NPD Practitioner functions in the roles of change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion of scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for the NPD specialty.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • 4 year/Bachelor's Degree
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years acute care experience required; critical care experience preferred

Certification and Licensure

  • PA Registered Nurse License
  • ACLS Certification and instructor if responsible for specialty course program
  • PALS Certification and Instructor if Responsible for Specialty Course Program
  • BLS Certification
