Under the general direction of the Supervisor II, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, the Supervisor I position provides leadership and oversight of the intake, counseling, and investigation of sexual harassment cases, and the most sensitive and complex cases handled by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration’s (CDTFA) Equal Employment Office (EEO). The role is responsible for supervising staff in the development, implementation, and coordination of EEO activities and programs. With guidance and support from the Diversity and Inclusion Manager, responsibilities include planning, organizing, and developing workload procedures, as well as overseeing the daily tasks performed by office staff. Communicates with all levels of staff, including the Human Resources Bureau, Legal Division, External Affairs Division, and other state agency representatives, with diplomacy and tact. Acts as the Diversity and Inclusion Manager in their absence.
