Job Description And Duties
Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 04 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
CCHCS seeks to fill a Limited Term Office Assistant (Typing) position in the Medical Services, Health Information Management.
Under the close supervision of the Health Record Technician II (Supervisor) or the Office Services Supervisor II, in the Health Records Center (HRC), the incumbent performs duties such as filing, indexing, scanning, uploading, and performing quality assessments of unit health record while maintaining the security and confidentiality of paper and electronic files; and performs a variety of clerical tasks in support of the HRC.
This position is located in the Health Records Center, Medical Services. This program is tasked with modernizing the way health records are created, delivered, and stored throughout California’s correctional health care system in order to improve and enhance patient care. Management develops and implements staffing models, policies, procedures, and training tools for health records employees. Staff ensures that integrity of patient health records is maintained within the Health Record Center.
