The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.
Position Summary
The LPT performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
Shift Availabilities
AM shift - 07:00am - 3:30pm
PM shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm
NOC shift - 11:00pm- 7:30am
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent. Trraining as a Psychiatric Technician.
Experience: Minimum six (6) months as a LPT preferred. Willing to train New Grad.
Licensure:Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification, and successful completion of the hospital’s designated behavioral and physical management training program, including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required prior to assisting in the procedures. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
