Position Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Aerospace Engineer in the Structures Division within the F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team (FST) at FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will serve as a supervisor, technical advisor, and spokesperson within their program area. You will negotiate, advise, and collaborate with all levels of officials in industry
  • You will assist in the development and execution of the planning, directing, and prioritizing of activities concerning the area under supervision and, therefore, must routinely adapt to frequent and unpredictable changes in programs and funds.
  • You will provide resources and processes to support and maintain the intended mission capability; to maintain inherent design capabilities of the systems at the minimum expenditure of resources; and to achieve readiness goals.
  • You will ensure ensures that the team's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals objectives, work plan and work products and services.
  • You will lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing the workload and tasks among employees in accordance with establish work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization
  • You will plan and/or conducts extensive technical aerospace engineering investigations individually, as a member of a team, or as team leader, depending on the complexity of the project and assigned duties
