You will serve as a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER in the AVIATION MAINT/MATERIAL DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will inspect, analyze, assess and determine the condition of aircraft flight control, hydraulic, pneudraulic, environmental and mechanical system components.
- You will perform overhaul, repair, align, test, and diagnose aircraft systems and components while leading a crew within a Cell Based Work Environment (CBWE) in an aircraft production line.
- You will provide technical advice and work direction to artisans and answer questions for the supervisor on overall work operations and related problems.
- You will collect and provide data for engineering Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and logistics analysis, norms and budget formulation, material forecasting, and workload planning.
- You will assure that safety, tool control, foreign object damage (FOD), Hazmat, and housekeeping rules are followed.
- You will make detailed safety, static/operational inspections of aircraft system, engine, components and structure, and inspects aircraft condition/performance acceptability for movement flight test.
