Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, along with our 17,000 employees, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers.

This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located at Scripps Mercy San Diego in Hillcrest but may travel to Mission Valley as needed. This is an exempt and salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) at the Supervisor level.

What You'll Do

  • Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
  • Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
  • Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
  • Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
  • Management and development of clinical staff.
  • Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
  • Participates in budget planning and management. Takes proactive initiative in quality management.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills

  • Associates degree plus two years applicable clinical/outpatient experience.
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited program.

Required Certification/Registration

  • Maintains current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification

  • BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
  • 1 year of RN leadership experience.
  • Surgical services experience.

Position Pay Range: $61.91-$89.63/hour
