Job Description

The Opportunity

As a Procurement Manage - Supply Chain Management in our San Diego, CA location, you will lead global sourcing initiatives and oversee end-to end procurement operations. You will be responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely, cost-effective procurement of quality materials in compliance with international trade regulations. The Procurement Manager - Supply Chain Management will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with technical and operational requirements. Strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and proficiency in ERP/PLM systems to drive process improvement, optimize inventory, and support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global sourcing efforts in a low volume, high mix environment by developing, managing, and optimizing relationships across a broad, global supplier base to ensure cost effective, high quality, and timely procurement of materials. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance in alignment with organizational goals and global trade regulations.
  • Oversee daily procurement operations to support uninterrupted production, including purchase order management, delivery tracking, and resolution of supply chain disruptions such as delays, shortages, and quality issues.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance. Foster collaboration across departments to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to align procurement with technical specifications and production requirements. Evaluate supplier capabilities, support value engineering, and ensure material compatibility through active involvement in product design and development processes.
  • Leverage ERP and PLM systems to manage procurement processes efficiently. Analyze procurement data and KPIs to inform sourcing decisions, optimize inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in a procurement management position, including three years in global sourcing and management
  • Two years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Two years of experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, international business, or a related field
  • Experience with Infor SyteLine ERP system
  • An engineering background with an understanding of technical specifications and engineering processes

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is 100% onsite. The employee will report to our facility in San Diego, CA five days a week.
  • Salary Range: $137,000 - $150,200
  • Travel may be required throughout the Quantum Design territory.
