#WeAreParamount on a mission to unleash the power of content… you in?
We’ve got the brands, we’ve got the stars, we’ve got the power to achieve our mission to entertain the planet – now all we’re missing is… YOU! Becoming a part of Paramount means joining a team of passionate people who not only recognize the power of content but also enjoy a touch of fun and uniqueness. Together, we co-create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a maintenance role. This is a growth role built for a broadcast-experienced seller who is capable of doing it all — someone who has spent time in local TV, knows how to maximize opportunities, and is hungry to succeed as a multi-screen, multi-market powerhouse.
As an Account Executive on the Local Ad Sales team at CBS, you will sell across our full O&O footprint — with the ability to close multi-market broadcast deals that span from coast to coast. Layered on top of that is the opportunity to sell Paramount+ and Pluto TV streaming inventory, giving clients a truly end-to-end screen solution backed by one of the most recognized brands in media.
You will bring new business to the table. You will build client relationships that outlast any single campaign. And you will be held to results.
What You'll Do
- Hunt — hard. Prospect relentlessly across local, regional, and national categories. New-to-station and non-traditional revenue is your primary mandate. You don't wait for the phone to ring.
- Sell all screens. Drive revenue across CBS O&O broadcast, Paramount+ and Pluto TV — in a single, integrated pitch.
- Go multi-market. Leverage the full 17-market CBS O&O footprint to bring advertisers a scaled broadcast solution to reach audiences across any & all markets.
- Build, don't inherit. Develop direct client and agency relationships from the ground up. Own your pipeline and your outcomes.
- Think like a strategist. Package custom solutions — tentpole programs, sports integrations, streaming packages, sponsorships — tailored to client business objectives, not just available inventory.
- Own your numbers. Manage quarterly and annual account plans, forecast correctly, and hit your monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
- Stay ahead of the market. Know the linear and streaming landscape. Understand where categories are investing and why. Bring category intelligence into every client conversation.
- Collaborate to win. Partner with Integrated Marketing, Account Management, Traffic, and to deliver seamless, high-impact campaigns from pre-sale through post-recap.
- Stay sharp. Keep a pulse on marketplace trends, category dynamics, and the evolving linear and streaming landscape.
- Represent KPIX at client meetings, presentations, and station events.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2+ years of local broadcast experience, multi-platform, or local media advertising sales with a verifiable track record of hitting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Real hunger—you prospect, you pitch, you close. You don’t wait for business to come to you.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to build lasting client partnerships.
- Experience working with both advertising agencies and direct clients.
- Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced book of business with professionalism and precision.
- Experience selling streaming, digital, or OTT inventory in addition to linear television.
- Familiarity with Paramount+, Pluto TV, or FAST/AVOD platform sales.
- Experience selling multi-market or national broadcast packages.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficiency with WideOrbit, Strata, Salesforce, and Microsoft Excel.
