The ADGS Custom Solutions Automation team in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer in support of robotic test automation development and deployment. This person will work on a collaborative, fast paced team to ensure future Keysight products continue to achieve a low cost of test through automation. This is an R&D Engineer 4, Hardware position.
Responsibilities
- Design new automated mechatronic systems as required to meet the needs of more complex and higher frequency products
- Provide engineering support of new product integration into test automation solutions
- Develop and adapt current test automation solutions to meet new product requirements
- Create full detail CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in support of entire product lifecycle
- Maintain BOMs and maintenance documentation
- Look for opportunities to incorporate new technologies into existing automation that will decrease cost and increase reliability
- BSME/MSME or equivalent
- 6-7 years of experience in the mechanical design and implementation of robotics systems
- Ability to develop effective designs and solutions quickly and efficiently
- Proficient in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Experience with ADCS automation database
- Knowledge of Yellowstone automation systems
- Strong work ethic
- Able to demonstrate analytic skills such as FEA for mechanical and thermal systems
- Must have sound knowledge of mechatronic engineering principals
- Ability to read and understand pneumatic and electrical schematics
- Ability to design simple electrical and pneumatic circuits and create schematics
- Can work independently or collaboratively as required
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong computer skills (CAD, MS Office, Data Collection & Analysis)
- Must demonstrate competence in mechanical assembly and fabrication techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, coworkers, and customers
- Ability to use common machine shop tools is a bonus
- Must be a “hands on” engineer willing to work with the build team
- Must be a US Person

The level of role and salary will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.
California Pay Range: MIN $124,420- MAX $207,370
Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region.
