Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee and personally manage warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring shipments and receipts are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Optimize warehouse staff performance by coaching, counseling, disciplining, and evaluating employees to maintain high productivity.
- Troubleshoot order and inventory discrepancies as needed, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Prepare and process shipments and receipts through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and analyze data for operational improvements.
- Safeguard operations by ensuring compliance with company procedures and maintaining a safety-first mentality.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
- Oversee the transportation, storage, and handling of heavy haul, oversized, and out-of-gauge cargo.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations for oversized and overweight freight.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize supply chain and logistics operations.
- Lead and motivate employees, fostering a positive and results-driven work culture.
- Recruit, train, and develop warehouse staff to meet labor demands and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Utilize system data to examine daily worker productivity and implement improvements where needed.
- Maintain frequent communication with colleagues, departments, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
- Document outstanding issues at the end of each day and prepare for the following day’s workload.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth through strategic business development initiatives.
- Provide regular reports to management, identifying operational challenges and recommending solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse or terminal management role.
- Demonstrated track record of progressive leadership and promotions in previous roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WMS, and RF technology is preferred.
- Forklift Certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Proactive problem solver with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, and dedicated to meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.

- 7–10+ years of leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or related operations.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and financial performance drivers.

- Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building abilities.
- Experience improving operational efficiency and leading change.
- Proficiency with logistics systems (WMS/TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
