Job Title: Customer Service Representative – Sales Support

Location (city, state): Schaumburg, IL (Hybrid – Mon & Fri Remote | Tue–Thu In Office)

About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well-established organization within the manufacturing space, to hire a Customer Service Representative – Sales Support to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

Job Description:

This role supports a fast-paced customer service and sales operations team with a strong focus on order management, email communication, and internal coordination. The position is heavily systems-based, working within Microsoft Dynamics 365 to process orders, manage account activity, and support both internal sales teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage customer orders through an ERP system with a high level of accuracy
  • Handle customer communication primarily through email regarding orders, availability, and account updates
  • Review account activity, including open orders, billing issues, credit holds, and invoice questions
  • Research and resolve order discrepancies such as shortages, returns, and fulfillment issues
  • Provide product availability, shipping timelines, and order status updates to customers
  • Support sales reps by preparing customer accounts and assisting with lead qualification efforts
  • Coordinate internally with sales and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and system updates within Dynamics 365
  • Assist with promotional and bulk order processing and fulfillment tracking

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of customer service, order entry, or sales support experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (required)
  • Exposure to retail account management strongly preferred
  • Background in manufacturing, CPG, or dental/healthcare products a plus
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a high-volume environment
  • Comfortable working independently while managing competing priorities
  • Strong written communication skills (email-heavy role)
  • Analytical mindset with a natural curiosity for problem-solving and process understanding
