Job Description

The Senior Project Manager functions as partner who works with the CEO to shape and align operations throughout the company. The role is responsible for supporting strategic operations relationships across the US functional leadership team and regularly interacts with headquarters in Korea to collaborate on requirements and scoping on projects as directed, process optimization, and organizational change management. Additionally, research new processes to resolve issues, prepare executive communications of same, analyze business, stakeholder, and functional requirements and support strategic and operational initiatives, projects, and programs.

This is a key role within the organization in responding to problems, analyzing patterns, applying technical knowledge, following and establishing procedures, writing documentation in a clear, concise manner, and displaying data in a meaningful way for a wide variety of audiences.

You will provide support as needed across the CEO’s portfolio and are a key resource in building and sustaining processes and tools to support the company’s work, drive value, further the company brand, and enable value realization.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

  • Utilizing applications and machine tool knowledge to accurately and efficiently report business related data.
  • Understands all phases of operations analysis and Business Process Modeling to create solid business plans.
  • Creates effective work items such as business rule frameworks (BRF), technical specifications, business plans, process flows, and user stories.
  • Communicates engineering/operations/technical concepts to non-technical audiences through effective written and verbal storytelling.
  • Uses engineering/technical and/or operations domain knowledge to identify solutions to business problems.
  • Critically evaluates both business needs and requirements through deep business and engineering knowledge.

Business & Analysis Responsibilities

  • Applies the fundamentals of business analysis to use cases and business planning to drive outcomes.
  • Plans, documents, analyzes, traces, and manages requirements for portfolio of initiatives.
  • Effectively utilizes benchmark comparisons, value realization tracking and reporting, cost and value (benefits realization) tracking and reporting, cost reduction opportunities, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and associated reporting to arrive at sound decisions.
  • Performs business process analysis, improvement, and re-engineering.
  • Attends, facilitates, and/or leads meetings of cross-functional leaders and third-party groups.
  • Effectively communicates business concepts to technical audiences; serves to translate business and technical information.
  • Creates business documents with accuracy, clarity, and lack of defects.

Business Relationship Responsibilities

  • High proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, especially data, reporting and presentation applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • Communicates effectively amongst all departments and locations (Applications, Engineering, Service, HR, Accounting, HQ Korea, etc.)
  • Uses organizational change management and education of decision-makers, particularly in matrixed environment, to achieve desired results.
  • Frames problems, negotiates, and makes recommendations across teams and organizational areas.
  • Leads teams through indirect influence, mentor others, and facilitates meetings.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors in mechanical or electrical engineering

Work Experience

  • Min Five (5) years of experience with a combination of Business Analyst or Engineer in Manufacturing / Machine Tool industry (preferred) or related field.
  • Experience effectively defining requirements and value working with operational partners in solving business problems.
  • Experience building and presenting use/business cases
  • Demonstrated success creating and sustaining trusted-advisor relationships

Preferred

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in an Engineering/Information Services field with experience in business analysis and/or junior project manager for operations/engineering projects.
