
Quality Assurance Engineers support a large-scale, heavy industrial manufacturing operation by partnering with operations to ensure product quality, drive process improvements, and maintain compliance with quality systems. This role is heavily focused on metallurgical support, data analysis, and hands-on involvement in audits, continuous improvement, and day-to-day production quality.

Our client is a leading, long-established manufacturer within the steel and heavy industrial space, supporting key industries including automotive, construction, and packaging. They are currently investing heavily in one of their largest facilities, expanding operations and building out new production capabilities while continuing to grow their quality and engineering teams.
Description
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and address quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and production processes.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain quality assurance.
- Maintain and manage quality documentation and reports.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures.
- Work with suppliers to ensure materials meet quality requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and manufacturing department.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience within steel or heavy industrial manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of quality systems, with exposure to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 preferred
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvements
- Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with operations and engineering teams
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in a plant environment
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting

- Salary typically between $70K-$90,00K depending on experience

Conduct daily floor audits to ensure operations are running within defined parameters
