ABOUT US
Now in our 18th year, Tucson Values Teachers (TVT) is a nonprofit organization that serves Southern Arizona PreK-12 teachers. We coordinate programs that celebrate teachers, such as the E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Award and the Teacher Excellence Award. We provide programs to support teachers by offering gift cards for classroom supplies through the Tucson Supplies Teachers program. We also offer scholarships for professional development and mini-grants for specific classroom projects through our Teacher Empowerment Fund.
Tucson Values Teachers was founded in 2008 by the Southern Arizona Leadership Council (SALC) as an education and business partnership to address the issues of the teacher workforce and positively impact the quality of the region’s education system. Since its inception, TVT has invested over $5 million in programs that serve teachers.
POSITION DETAILS
Position Title: Operations Assistant (Hybrid In-Office/Remote Role)
Position Level: Part-Time; Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer
Position Description:
We are seeking a candidate who will provide excellent assistance with daily tasks, including data entry, scheduling, clerical assistance, and event support. The ideal candidate will love TVT’s mission and the teachers we serve; they will also be creative, energetic, strategic, and motivated. This is a hybrid position, with up to two days working in the TVT office per week, but also allows for flexibility. This position will also work collaboratively with the TVT team.
Specific Duties:
- General clerical and administrative tasks
- Data entry and database management
- Scheduling meetings and appointments
- Supporting event logistics
- Assisting with miscellaneous communications
- Other duties as assigned
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude, proactive, and flexible
Desired Skills:
- Some prior administrative/operations experience preferred
- Team player, mission-driven, adaptable
Compensation: TBD – commensurate with experience
