Overview

As a TAG Mechanical Engineer, you will assist the Engineering team providing engineering services, technical training support and development of unique products to fuel the customer’s mission.

Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer include the design, development, documentation, integration, testing and manufacturing support of various unique systems. Successful candidates will work directly with multi-disciplinary engineers and technicians to develop and manufacture new products based on customer specifications and market requirements.

Security Requirement:

  • The ability to obtain a SECRET clearance is required.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Design and generate CAD models of new products to be produced in a variety of materials.
  • Generate accurate CAD models of existing items using various measurement tools.
  • Evaluate designs through simulation, prototype testing and requirement verification.
  • Troubleshoot design failure modes to root cause and develop quick, effective solutions.
  • Provide support to production, as needed.
  • Generate associated documentation including detail drawings, assembly drawings, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • SOLIDWORKS proficiency
  • Generate technical drawings for fabrication
  • CNC experience
  • 3D printing experience
  • Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.

Differentiators

  • SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation experience - preferred
  • Small-medium sized product development experience - preferred
  • Electronics enclosure design experience - preferred
